KURZ Series 454FTB
Application:
The Series 454FTB represents the newest addition to the Kurz Family of state-of-the-art microprocessor based industrial quality, Single-Point Insertion Mass Flow Transmitters for industrial gas flow measurement. Thousands of these reliable meters are in use in applications for process gases, high pressure air lines, energy management measurements and also for combustion air measurements on small burner applications. The new MFTB series meets the CRMS mass compliance regulation and can now be used for measuring stack rates for compliance measurements. It includes the most advanced microprocessor technology, real time sensor and electronics diagnostics, temperature compensation, highest repeatability, accuracy and reliability available.

Increasing levels of contaminants in the air have created new environmental and public health challenges. Of particular concern is the emission of highly toxic, corrosive and odor-causing gases. Such gases include hydrogen sulfide (H2S), sulfur dioxide (SO2), chlorine (CL2), nitrogen oxides (NOx), ammonia (NH4), and ozone (O3). Many contaminants in the air are not highly corrosive, but nonetheless create significant odor problems. This is a concern with many organic substances, such as hydrocarbons (VOCs), amines, indoles, mercaptans and scatoles.
